"sleepover" cos technically i overnight at the chalet but din sleep
After buying my mountain bike for so long, i actually got a chance to ride it, thanks to the chalet
Riding through the park connector from Bedok Res Park to Pasir Ris Park and eventually finding my way to Downtown East, was kinda refreshing for me
Journey is 1 hour and muscle aching but it was refreshing enough
Anyway got a chance to know few new friends as well as got to know a few more pple better
Played fun and weird game.. something out of the ordinary to me
Knocked out the moment I cycled home after we check out from chalet
Looking forward to the next gathering with some of them
Thanks ella for coming to chalet to pei me oso
I swear next time if i bring friends to chalet, im not gonna let them out of my sight
I will ensure they are well protected and enjoying the chalet

(1) The language I speak
For the past few days, been so busy with SRC60 Photo Exhibition.Though so, I got to know husky and the rest through the hanging out and tonning.
After hanging out yesterday together, I got to know a few more other friends.
I realise the language I speak is not english, mandarin or even singlish.
I speak pool.
Yes, pool as in cue ball and pool balls, cue stick and pockets.
It may be just playing pool to many.
But for a thinker like me, it's not so simple.
Pool covers many lessons in life.
Pool allows me to connect with many.
To students, it can include teaching them to improve maths and science.
To others, it may include lessons of life such as planning ahead and being slow and steady.
Pool seems to be my heart language.
At least, whenever I am emoing, feeling down, feeling lonely or whatsoever, that's where I find peace and comfort.
Hmm, I've realised it's so hard for me to connect to the one my heart yearns for.
I wonder when I can see myself connecting to her.
Really wish one day the gap in my life will be filled
Where are you????
(2) It seems I'm never doing enough to care
It gets disheartening when there's so much you want to do for people
So many you want to care for
But there's a limit to how much you can do
(3) Discriminated me
So much for the achievements I have
But it seems pointless to achieve
It seems to only keep me occupied and busy with pointless things to do
I lose my freedom
I lose my rest
There may be times of fun and laughter
But there aint times of self-sufficiency for myself
Now that I've only 2 days of class
I'm seeking employment
I'm rejected/not even being considered as a candidate for whatever reasons
I'm reminded of what happened to me when I worked in Kumon during JC holidays
I was asked to leave on the 2nd day based on the claim that teachers will lose faith in me because of my outward appearance - my height....
Probably to this world, the outward appearance will always be the most important.
So much of me for trying so hard to prove myself
Even my parents still doubt me
Am i not capable enough?
Don't I fare better in academics than my sister?
I'm getting the As, aint that enough?
Why do you have to look at those days I just want to take a break and not attend class?
Why does it seem that whatever I do, it's never enough to anyone?

Someone whom I once trusted as a friend who I can tell everything about me, including childhood and everything that caused me to be who I am
Yet, I've heard even from Red Cross HQ Staff that you are defaming me.
Go on, get Red Cross to blacklist me, if you are capable enough!!
The new RP Red Cross committee members are starting to discuss how weird you are
And I thought it was just me or even Faizal, President of NP Red Cross that found you weird
So it's actually not that Faizal or I have problems interacting and understanding people
Now I realise..
I'm so humoured
I swear I will never ever trust anyone easily anymore...
Thanks to you, Calvan See
PS: Curious to know who he is, check out my facebook photos

I had prepared a long AGM speech which I wanted to make this year.BUT somehow, I decided that it would not be made by me.
Instead, I have emailed someone, who would hopefully help me to do it.
Thanks in advance, whether you made the speech in the end or not.
Here's what I said in my email to her.
Dear XXX,I sincerely hope you can do this favour for me, if I decided not to turn up at the AGM.
I seriously can't take it anymore, the feeling of the total lack of trust in my leadership and working style have been too much for me especially for this 2 semesters!!!
PS: If you need my advice on future RP Red Cross matters, you can still find me cos I still consider you as junior and friend.
Although I would want to be able to mentor RP Red Cross...
Thanks!
Sidenote to myself: Hope I can still be mentor to RP Red Cross.... LOL

Went drinking with Sharon and Chee PangSharon's friend dragged her to Double O
Chee Pang and I were there to ensure she would get home safe, especially since her first time
Drank a lot, more than any other times I've drunk
Even had a drink that had a mix of 8 different alcohol e.g. XO and stuff which I can't remember
Once we were out of Double O, my mind switched off
Drinking on empty stomach + after 2 tiring days of disaster relief efforts = no joke
But it was great.
But I knew I could have controlled myself from getting drunk
Chose not to.
Sharon kept asking me why I looked so unhappy despite drinking and hanging out
Guess, I can't disclose those problems I'm having, in such an environment.
Glad she enjoyed herself though.
Thanks Chee Pang for ensuring that all got home safe.

Teared in my heart silently
Thursday, October 08, 2009
Friend scolded me...Asking me why I don't want to find part time
But my efforts in seeking was not observed.
Well hard facts also show the otherwise.
Yes I'm still idling without a part time job.
BUT it's not because I don't bother to find.
I'm not the choosy one but the employers are the one being selective.
Done a few part time before.
It's the same old reason/excuse given when I was asked to leave.
Not cos of poor performance but only one reason.
Somehow I told my friend over drinks at a coffee shop.
At that point, I can feel how pathetic and weak I am.
I teared silently in my heart.
Yes I took this reality of society very hard.
Probably that's why many find me easy to bully.
Well it's fine with me since I know the treatment by many is so...
Not many will take me seriously cos of the same reason ba.

My Personality Report from JobsCentral
Wednesday, October 07, 2009
I feel this report is very true of me:
Mr Lim is prepared to put in hard work moderately but he may at times prefer to work at his own pace.
Mr Lim is relatively dependable to deliver results on time. He may sometimes be late in meeting deadlines.
Mr Lim generally will persist with work until it is completed but may at times not complete his tasks.
Mr Lim is likely to be quality-conscious and achievement-oriented. He is motivated to produce work that is of a high standard. He is observant, quick to spot errors and critical where work is concerned. He is likely to be meticulous, careful and pre-occupied with detail.
Mr Lim is an objective person who is impartial and rational. He speaks factually and often does not involve his own feelings and emotions. He may sometimes be perceived as distant or detached.
Although Mr Lim is usually a sympathetic person, he may at times be selective about being involved in the personal problems of people.
Being a shy, quiet and reserved person, Mr Lim prefers his own company and feels awkward when meeting people for the first time. In social gatherings, he tends to stay in the background.
Mr Lim selectively forms strong bonds with people although these bonds may not be very deep.
Mr Lim is moderately serious about his responsibilities and selectively takes ownership of his work.
Mr Lim is moderately concerned with prestige, rank and reputation.
Mr Lim sees people as friendly, reliable and honest. He is trusting and believes what people say. He tends to be unsuspecting of people.s behaviour and motives. He is uncomfortable when he has to wheel and deal.
Courage, vigour and initiative are some of the hallmarks of Mr Lim's character. He wants to lead direct and guide people in a certain direction. Because Mr Lim is confident, forward thinking and visionary, he commands respect and has considerable influence over others. He is able to harness the support of people.
Intellectual matters do not interest Mr Lim. He is more concerned with practical issues than abstract theories. Mr Lim prefers to talk about useful and workable solutions than discuss hypotheses and concepts. He is more likely to build on ideas rather than generate them.
Being orderly, methodical and systematic, Mr Lim spends considerable time planning ahead and organizing activities. He ensures that programmes are scheduled properly and takes care to plan in detail. Formulating procedures and policies is his forte.
Mr Lim is generally able to express himself although not to a high degree of eloquence.
Being one who needs clear and thorough instructions before he can proceed on action, Mr Lim resists when conditions are uncertain. He does not adapt easily to changes. Before he embarks on a new project, expect Mr Lim to find out more and probe deeply.

Interesting irony Irks the hell out of me!!!

What would you doHow would you feel
IF
You genuinely offered help because
(1) you had done it before
(2) you have the know-how
(3) you have the network
BUT
Realised from another that the project committee is scared of you as though you are a busybody
SERIOUSLY it irks me
This happens to me when I genuinely want to help make a big event for an organization a successful one.
Hello,
Is this an air of superiority that you all are trying to exhibit?
OR you people are just close-minded and not accepting any feedback, even constructive ones?
What makes you people think you guys are so great?
When a simple proper protocol of sending emails to people involved is not done appropriately with ample time of advance notice?
When a simple proper protocol of sending meeting minutes to all present and absent involved for a particular project committee is not done appropriately?
It makes me wonder if a simple task can't be done well, how can a much larger scale project task be accomplished well effortlessly when even genuine help offered is being rejected.
Am I a busybody?
OR am I just trying to help?
I've no comments
I only know there are people who approached me to help
I only know there are people who are glad I offered help
I only know there are people who are glad when I accept their request for help
I do not wish to argue nor in any way make myself as though someone much superior than others....
I believe my years of involvement, my years of experience speaks well enough for me
Facts speak louder than theories
Actions speak louder than words
Since you people think you have the skills and knowledge to do it on your own, I'm not going to be bothered to venture too far out to offer help.
I shall just help those who genuinely humbles themselves and seek my help to the best I can offer in my capacity
Don't argue that it's cos you people do not have enough time because all these are facts!!!
(1) All humans on earth have 24 hours
(2) All students have studies to manage
(3) All students have families they need to spend family time with
(4) All humans have their own commitments and priorities
(5) There are people who are capable to manage many commitments and tasks and still find free time because of good time management
(6) There are people who are incapable to even manage a handful of commitments and tasks and accomplish them to even find a lil bit of free time due to poor time management and blames it on others
IT'S REALLY NOT THE LACK OF TIME, BUT THE LACK OF PROPER TIME MANAGEMENT THAT MAKES ONE LESS CAPABLE THAN ANOTHER!!
AND For your information,
Don't complain at the end of the day when FAILURE comes and say it's not your fault BUT the lack of experience/knowledge/skills when it's a fact
(1) In the first place you know you do not have the experience/knowledge/skills
(2) In the first place those who had the experience/knowledge/skills offered to help
(3) In the first place you rejected the help offered
NO experience/knowledge/skills + rejecting experience/knowledge/skills = 0 experience/knowledge/skills = high chance of failure
(Note: I did not say 100% failure, I say high chance)
I'm a very principled man
I may be quiet but I'm certainly not one of empty promises
I do not like to leave others to die and not help
BUT times and times again, the world has proven to me only one truth
THAT IT'S BETTER FOR MAN TO BE SELFISH THAN TO BE SELFLESS
THE KEY TO SURVIVAL IS THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
SELFISHNESS OF THE FITTEST (THE ONE WHO KNOWS IT ALL) ALLOWED HIM TO SURVIVE BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE IS MORE FIT TO BE ALIVE
Maybe it's time for me to learn and apply
